Design
concept:
The T shaped house occupies a small footprint of 2000 sft on a 7000 sft plot. The pavillion like living and dining open out to the landscape with large sliding folding doors, this gives a feeling of sitting in the garden. This centrally placed pavillion creates two gardens, the front garden has lawns and clustered planting suitable for entertaining guests whereas the rear garden is a shaded one under the canopy of the fig tree, a more private space for contemplation.
The 3500 sft, two floor house has 3 bedrooms and the upper floor opens out to a large deck which is above the living room. The covered walkway from the gate doubles up as a verandah for parties, the roof of which would be the place for a rooftop kitchen garden.
